The multi-award-winning musical, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is an adaptation of the popular 1994 film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and is guaranteed to get your feet tapping as it follows the adventures of three performers and friends, Bernadette, Adam and Tick, who are in search of love and friendship.
The three decide to leave their home in Sidney and take their act on the road, venturing into wilds of the Australian outback in a clapped-out old bus called Priscilla. The trio gets far more than it bargained for, however, and its hilarious and sometimes heart-wrenching adventures during this road trip of a lifetime will make you laugh and cry.
There’s an amazing £1m bus on stage, and 500 magnificent costumes to bewitch and bedazzle you, not to mention the 28 talented and glamorous West End players who perform a list of dance-floor hits that includes timeless greats like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, I Will Survive, Don’t Leave Me This Way, Finally and Shake Your Groove Thing.
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert won Best New Musical, Best Set Designer, Best Choreographer and Best Supporting Actor in a Musical at the 2010 What’s on Stage Awards.
