The greatest love story in the world continues in Love Never Dies, in which the tale of the Phantom and his beloved is transported from the Paris Opera House’s Gothic setting to the bright lights of Coney Island in New York. The Phantom makes his return in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s magnificent new musical, wherein the Phantom is reunited with the beautiful Christine Daae, his one true love and protege.
An emotional roller coaster ride of romance, intrigue and obsession, not much is as it appears at first in Love Never Dies. The masked Phantom has escaped the mobs in Paris with Madame Giry’s aid and built a sparkling new empire in America. For a decade the Phantom has concealed himself amidst the sideshows and freaks, yearning for his lost love and nursing his shattered heart.
Then the bright lights and money lure Christine to Coney Island for a final performance, bringing her son Gustave and her husband Raoul with her. Soon she finds out who the enigmatic impresario who tempted her to cross the Atlantic really is, and memories are unlocked and old wounds bleed afresh as the Phantom strives to prove to her that, in fact, Love Never Dies.
